Attending HCCC as a first-generation college student has been more than I could have asked for. Learning in such a diverse institution has helped me form long term friendships while developing both academically and personally. More importantly, I am grateful for the opportunities the college has offered me. After completing my associates degree in Criminal Justice, I plan to continue my education and pursue a career that will bring change to my community.
I began attending Hudson County Community College in September 2018, majoring in Criminal Justice. Having not attended school in almost seven years, I was a bit nervous about the experience. After attending my first criminal law course I knew immediately that I would come to appreciate the expertise and knowledge I would gain from this program. The CRJ program gave me the tools I needed that allowed me to graduate with honors.
I learned so much at HCCC and enjoyed every moment there. I majored in Criminal Justice and was fortunate enough to work with and learn from many faculty members. The professors are amazing and really demonstrate an unparalleled dedication to all of their students. They truly want every single one of their students to succeed and thrive and they do just that. My time at HCCC prepared me well for many of my future endeavors. After graduation, I obtained my Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from New Jersey City University. I am a full-time student at New York Law School, actively pursuing my J.D. degree. I will never forget my roots at HCCC and all of the faculty members that helped shape who I am today.
