The education department at HCCC is dedicated to preparing future teachers to successfully enter the field of education. The Infant and Toddler Associates in Liberal Arts at HCCC is dedicated to preparing future teachers to successfully transfer to a four-year school to pursue a Bachelor’s in infant and toddler education and a NJ teachers license.
While at HCCC our education students have the opportunity to learn in our state-of-the-art Early Childhood laboratory classroom. The laboratory is filled with apple computers and classroom educational materials, which gives students the opportunity to not only learn theory through class discussions but also engage in hands-on-learning which deepens their understand of child development and the field of education. The classroom serves as a computer lab for educational students at scheduled times throughout the week.

Completion of this degree program option provides students the necessary coursework to pursue a Baccalaureate degree in Early Childhood, with a concentration in Infant and Toddler. Graduates are also qualified to work as early educators/caregivers in an Infant/Toddler setting, with children from birth to thirty-six months.
This program provides the necessary coursework for those interested in pursuing a Baccalaureate degree in Early Childhood, with a concentration in Infant and Toddler. By obtaining an Associate's Degree in Infant/Toddler, the graduates are qualified to work as early educators/caregiver in an Infant/Toddler setting, with children from birth to thirty-six months. This program is designed using NAEYC (National Association for the Education of Young Children) Standards, which provides a common national framework for all early childhood professional development systems and programs.
