If you have received an email from anyone at HCCC with the subject, "HACC Identity Management System- Password Expiration Notice," it is a phishing email. Please report it with the PhishAlert button or delete it. If you have interacted with this email, please contact the Help Desk immediately. Note that the email mentions "HACC" that is a different college in Pennsylvania. Individuals at HCCC will never send an email to verify your email address to prevent deactivating your account.

If you receive an email claiming to be I.T Service of hccc.edu stating that your password will expire today, and wants you to click to keep your current password, DO NOT click the link, for this is a phishing attempt. Passwords are reset by contacting ITS for assistance, or by going to the top tab where it says "I Need To..." and then clicking Change My Password. If you have interacted with this email, please contact the ITS Help Desk.

If you receive an email from Owa Security Notifications and claims to be from Microsoft Outlook Web Security asking reset your password before it expires, DO NOT complete the request nor click the button link, for this is a phishing attempt to steal your information. They do not remind you that your password will expire nor will it expire, for it comes from your own personal request. Delete the message upon receipt. If you followed the link, please contact the Help Desk immediately.

An email stating the user knowing your password, and/or asking money from you in a pressurized manner, is a phishing attempt. The body of the message attempts to intimidate you into submitting cryptocurrency. Delete the message upon receipt. If you followed the link, please contact the Help Desk immediately.
