The Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) is a federal law that provides eligible employees of covered employers with unpaid, job-protected leave for specified family and medical reasons. In collaboration with the College Life Committee of the All-College Council, the Office of Human Resources launched a Steps for Wellness program in the Summer of 2020.
This program is to promote selfcare, health and wellness for all students and employees. It is also an opportunity to celebrate individual and group achievements, as well as some friendly competition.
There is a group walk in the Fall and Spring semester challenge. Weekly reminders are shared with all to encourage participants and welcome new challengers.
Steps for Wellness is an 8 weeklong program which takes place every semester.

Full-time employees are eligible for up to $9,000 for Professional Development or Tuition Reimbursement.
Step 1: Prepare and complete an Employee Professional Development Plan and Professional Development Benefit Application with your direct supervisor. You may submit the last copy of your Employee Development and Performance Review form with Professional Goals in lieu of the Professional Development Plan.

If applying to have travel-related expenses reimbursed, please complete the Travel Request Form with details of travel expenses on the Travel Reimbursement Form, including approvals required. This also applies for Non-Degree programs.

Adjunct faculty who are currently employed for nine (fall/spring) semesters or more and their immediate family (spouse and legal dependents) may be granted 100% tuition waiver for any credit course, as well as selected continuing education courses offered by the College.
Adjunct faculty who are currently employed for four to eight semesters may be granted 50% tuition reduction.
